Franklin Spring Author Day 2026 is coming up!

The Franklin PTO (in conjunction with our Librarian, Ms. Kennedy) is excited to welcome bestselling author/ illustrator Michael Rex to our school on March 2^nd for our second author day this year!

• On March 2, author Michael Rex will be engaging 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students to talk about his creative process.
• The in-person visit will be with the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd graders.  The older grades had their Author Day this past fall.
• Anyone can order books! 

Mr. Rex is an author and illustrator of over fifty books, and his popular graphic novel Fangbone! has even been turned into an animated show on Netflix. 

Michael Rex will be talking to our 1^st-3^rd graders about how he gets his ideas, how he writes his books, and how he creates his illustrations.  

All pre-ordered books purchased from Membership Toolkit will be signed.  

While students from any grade may purchase his books, only grades 1-3 will watch his assembly.
